Environmental Education

The SRRCD believes in the importance of educating the next generation of residents and landowners, and will work with interested organizations and District schools to assist in incorporating environmental education into the curriculum. Schools within the District will be eligible for up to $500 per school per year.

Contact the SRRCD office with your environmental education ideas (i.e. in-class presentations, sponsorships, field trips, etc.) early in the year in order to ensure that plans are made for your school to be involved.

Check out the Tourond Creek Discovery Centre website for field trip bookings!
