The SRRCD is now partnering with Riparian Ecologist, Chris Randall, to increase the health of riparian areas by planting willows along shorelines. Contact the SRRCD office if you have a shoreline in need of rehabilitation!
Water Stewardship Minister, Christine Melnick, publicly released the newly published, \’Seine River Integrated Watershed Management Plan (IWMP)! The document was created in collaboration between the SRRCD and the Province of Manitoba to investigate the issues surrounding the Seine River. The SRRCD has already received $50,000 in funding to increase the health of the Seine River as a result of the IWMP.

The RM of De Salaberry has expressed an interest in improving the water quality and reducing the sedimentation of St. Malo Lake. Many local residents have seen changes in the lake and surrounding area over the last 30 years and feel that there are many sites that need to be cleaned up, restored and improved to ensure that it remains a vibrant and enjoyable recreational destination for the thousands of people who visit the area every year
To promote the stewardship of our land and water resources to ensure a healthy and prosperous lifestyle for all watershed residents, now and into the future.
The SRRCD operates under the authority of the Conservation Districts Act and Regulations and correspondingly follows the CD Program Mandate to support and promote the sustainable management of the land, water and related resources in Manitoba.
